Welcome to Champions Landing
The Emporia Country Club was established in 1911 by a group of local businessmen looking for a common setting to enjoy friendship, good food, golf and social occasions. The club has shared a rich heritage with the beautiful city of Emporia for over 100 years at the original location of 18th and Rural. On February 1st, 2024, the Club was sold to Jeremy Rusco and renamed as Champions Landing which is now open to the public and focused on being a social hub for the Emporia Community.
Inspiration Behind Name: Formerly the site of the Emporia Country Club from 1911 to 2024, the grounds at 1801 Rural have been the location for hundreds of City and World Champions being crowned in golf and disc golf. The site has been the host of multiple PDGA Junior, Amateur, Master’s, and Professional World Championships and will continue to be a sought-after location for PDGA Majors and Disc Golf Pro Tour events for years to come.
The new era and evolution of the facility will be known as Champions Landing because this is where champions are crowned. Champions Landing will solidify Emporia as the Disc Golf Capital of the World and disc golf destination for decades to come. The expansion and utilization of the multi-sports complex will attract a wide variety of sporting events to the facility and to the City of Emporia making a significant economic impact to the overall quality life for Emporia.

Golf Course Features
A 9-hole championship golf course! Two tee selections, create an 18-hole course utilizing 9 greens. The 8 acre pond comes in to play on the finishing holes creating challenges for golfers of all skill levels.

A practice range, putting green and chipping! Need to sharpen your game, the Club provides range balls and various single and family range plans. During the summer the Club has arranged for private and clinic lessons with a local PGA Golf Professional.
An 18-Hole Championship-Level Disc Golf Course!
Emporia, Kansas is recognized as the Disc Golf Capital of the United States. Champions Landing features an 18-Hole championship level disc golf course that is featured on the Disc Golf Pro Tour, Dynamic Discs Open as well as PDGA World Championships. With one of the toughest finishes in disc golf, no matter how well you have done on holes 1-15 you will still have to navigate three very challenging holes to finish the round which includes the iconic, hole 16 island green.

On the upper level of the building is Champions Chamber Banquet Room, The Lounge, Champs Coffee Shop & Bar and The View. Champions Chamber features seating up to 125 people has the flexibility to accommodate larger functions, with a choice of seating arrangements. Complete with a service bar, built-in wood dance floor and fireplace, Champions Chamber offers an amazing location for any event.
The Lounge offers a unique seating with gas burning fireplace and inlaid wood flooring. Used for buffets, hors d’oeuvres tables and cocktail receptions, The Lounge offers a unique setting to enhance larger parties that need overflow and additional space.
Champs Coffee Shop & Bar is a well-appointed sun room with ample windows, service bar and seating for up to 25 people.
The View overlooks the golf course and swimming pool and offers seating for 50 to 60 people, the L-shape room with ample glass offers unique dining and social event opportunities.
Relaxing, kid-friendly swimming pool! Open seven days a week, Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, parents relax poolside while kids splash in the pool or enjoy a meal and beverage from Champs Bar & Grill.
Social activities for everyone! From Themed Weekly Specials, Monthly Sunday Brunches, Wine Tastings, Gourmet Dinners with Choir Performances and Pool Parties, the Champions Landing offers great food and entertainment for all.
